Itanyar masih membahas Cloudflare lagi yaitu tutorial cara setting  SSL Certificate di cloudflare tentu saja ini adalah pengalaman penulis yang saya tulis di sini yang mungkin ada pengunjung situs ini belum tahu atau tidak paham bagaimana caranya memasang SSL gratisan yang ada di cloudflare di alamat url situs anda contohnya situs ini yaitu http://itanyar.com. ( dulu blog ini menggunakan https tapi maaf sekarang tidak karena beberapa alasan tidak lagi SSL )  Apakah ada yang belum tahu apa itu SSL ? SSL Certificate adalah dalam bahasa Indonesia diartikan Sertifikat Lapisan Soket Aman yaitu sebuah protokol dari pihak ketiga yang dikeluarkan oleh Otoritas Sertifikat/Certificate Authority (CA) yang menyediakan saluran komunikasi aman terenkripsi di Internet antara web server dan browser untuk hal-hal seperti penjelajahan web, email, pesan instan, dan transfer data lainnya.

Manfaat menggunakan Certificate/Sertifikat SSL

  1. Melindungi pengguna website Anda dan informasi sensitif mereka
    Jika pengguna Anda mengakses website Anda di sambungan Internet yang tidak aman, ditempat seperti wi-fi publik atau jaringan yang tidak dienkripsi, akun pengguna Anda mungkin lebih rentan dibajak. Sambungan internet yang aman mampu mencegah pembajakan dengan melindungi sesi cookie. Pembajakan sesi cookie adalah situasi ketika penipu mendapatkan hak akses yang tidak sah ke cookie pengguna Anda dan merebut kontrol dari sesi yang sah saat sesi tersebut masih berlangsung.
  2. Meningkatkan kepercayaan dan keyakinan pengguna website Anda
    Dengan kemampuan Anda memberikan keamanan bagi pengguna website Anda, hal ini tentu saja meningkatkan kepercayaan pengguna sehingga website Anda mempunyai nilai lebih dimata pengguna dibandingkan website kompetitor yang tidak mampu memberikan fasilitas seperti yang Anda berikan. Ketika Anda kepercayaan pengguna telah Anda dapatkan, tentu saja hal ini dapat meminimalisir kehilangan pelanggan sehingga transaksi website Anda akan lebih meningkat dari sebelumnya.
  3. Mendapatkan prioritas dari mesin pencarian Google
    Melalu blog resminya pada bulan Agustus 2014, Google merilis artikel yang berjudul “HTTPS as a ranking signal” yang menyatakan bahwa penggunaan Sertifikat SSL pada sebuah website telah dimasukkan sebagai salah satu dari sekian banyak faktor penentu peringkat website di mesin pencariannya.

    1. Langkah pertama untuk memulainya silahkan baca di sini cara Tutorial Cara Mudah Menghubungkan WordPress Ke Cloudflare karena langkah pertama yang harus di lakukan adalah menghubungkan dulu alamat situs anda ke cloudflare.
    2. Jika langkah pertama sudah anda lakukan dan aktif, tanda-tanda bila alamat situs anda aktif atau sudah terhubung dengan cloudflare penampakanya akan seperti gambar di bawah ini.

    3. Bila sudah tampil seperti gamabar di atas berarti sudah aktif lalu silahkan anda menuju ke menu clouflare setting

    4. Jika sudah anda klik maka anda akan di bawa ke halaman berikutnya yaitu bagian seting SSL yang ada di cloudflare

      Akan saya jelaskan dari masing-masih pilihan jenis SSL yang di tawarkan cloudflare yang ada pada konfigurasi SSL :

      1. Off – SSL dimatikan dan koneksi ke website tidak menggunakan SSL
      2. Flexible SSL – Koneksi dari web server ke CloudFlare tidak dienkripsi dengan SSL, tapi koneksi dari pengunjung ke CloudFlare akan menggunakan SSL
      3. Full SSL – Koneksi dari server situs anda ke CloudFlare menggunakan SSL, dan dari CloudFlare ke pengunjung juga menggunakan SSL. Ini membutuhkan sertifikat SSL dan bisa dibuat sendiri.
      4. Full SSL (Strict) – Sama dengan Full SSL tapi sertifikat SSL harus valid, jadi antara beli atau mencari sertifikat SSL gratis seperti dari StartSSL
    5. Setelah anda memahami opsi tersebut tersebut silahkan anda pilih sesuai selera anda kalau situs itanyar.com ini menggunakan yang Flexible SSL. bila sudah kembali halaman depan bagian menu website kita akan seting bagian terakhir yaitu bagian Page Rules yang artinya nanti penggunjung bila membuka situs anda akan selalu menggunakan alamat url https
    6. Halaman page rules cloudflarenya ada di sini silahkan lihat gambar di bawah ini

    7. Jika sudah ketemu menu page rules tersebut silahkan anda klik menu tersebut lalu anda akan di bawa ke menu berikutnya silahkan anda seting seperti berikut di halaman tersebut
      isikan url website anda dan diakhiri dengan * (contoh: itanyar.com/*), ini maksudnya setiap url diawali itanyar.com dan seluruh url (* adalah wildcard) setelahnya akan dialihkan. Kemudian aktifkan opsi Always use https. Klik Add rule untuk menambahkan aturan baru ini. silahkan lihat gambar di bawah ini, bila sudah klik add rule.
